What The Heck Can I Do About It?

It’s so easy to feel defeated in Maryland. The Dems outnumber us, so many of us don’t even go to the polls. The Dems are also getting money nationally to further the Progressive (Marxist) agenda, and we can’t compete fairly.

Therefore, our strategy in Maryland is to start at the local level. We need to build relationships with each other and unite to get Republicans elected in our counties. We cannot just roll over and take it, or cover our ears and go blah, blah, blah when the topic of politics comes up! If that’s our attitude then we deserve to lose our state and our country.

Sounds harsh? Well, consider this. Volunteers worked tirelessly to obtain the over 55,000 signatures needed to put the vote to the public on seven issues affecting YOU. They succeeded, and there were seven “ballot questions” up for vote. One included the most egregious re-districting plan in the country. Guess what, all seven passed! Why? Because Republicans did not go out in full force to vote! So many were thinking about Obama having the State locked up that they forgot about the local elections, and just stayed home. As a result, the Congressional Districts are so skewed that it will be practically impossible to elect Republicans (right now we have one seat out of eight).   Congressional Districts

This is not representative government, but if we had shown up at the polls we might have defeated this and the other outrageous laws that passed.

Activism comes in many forms, whether it’s writing letters to the politicians or the newspapers, making phone calls, supporting rallies, or making donations.  Carve out some time on your calendar to make a call or write a letter.  Go to local events, forums, or host a party with the topic of talking politics (if you plan for this type of discussion it will be socially acceptable).  Host a movie night and watch 2016 or other documentaries.

So, here’s the plan:

* Keep informed!!!!! One of the best ways to do this is to join a Republican club. Find one here.

* Contact your officials.  Remember, they work for YOU!  Do you agree with the way they are spending your money (or taking your money)?  If not, contact them.  Better yet, go down to Annapolis and meet with them face to face.

Who are your elected officials?

* Find out what bills are being pushed through, and make phone calls, write letters, and testify!  Get some friends and go to Annapolis together.  It does make a difference!

Legislation for 2013

It’s no secret that O’Malley plans to run for President in 2016.  He is working to make Maryland the most “Progressive” state in the nation.  We can’t sit around and let this happen, for the sake of Maryland, our country, and our children’s future (which is no longer a cliché’ – it’s real)!

What kind of life do you want?
